At Il Laghello di Amina Agritourism we make two natural wines – a red and a white.
Our vines surround the vegetable garden and their excellent health is attested to by the rose plants that can be found at the start of each row: our elders knew that if the rose became sick, sooner or later the vine would too.
Our vines are still pruned following the moon and the cold, in the hope of guaranteeing a better life cycle for the plant and maximum prosperity.
This white wine is made from Malvasia, Bosco and Cortese grapes. It is crisp and pleasant, does not have a very high alcohol content and goes perfectly with appetizers and fish dishes.
It features aromas of the sea, sulphur, myrtle and rosemary, while on the palate it brings the traditional wine of the Ligurian coasts to mind.
Its name comes from “grandfather Pellegro”, who planted many of these vines that are still found on our land today.
The strong, aromatic aroma of this red wine made from very famous grape varieties, such as Barbera, Ciliegiolo, Pinot Nero, Bosco and Dolcetto, is softened by the presence of the sea.
Nonetheless, it is a wine that is perfect for substantial meat-based dishes, although we like to pair it with peaches and sugar…the favourite dessert of many an old farmer.
